What is Ihram?
In the Bible, the word Ihram means to make something Haram, which means "forbidden." The Ihram is a two-piece white sheet outfit that Muslim men and women wear during Hajj and Umrah. It has three different meanings. First, it is a two-piece white cloth that Muslim men pilgrims wear. When they put it on, they say Talbiya and say they are starting Hajj or Umrah. Umrah is performed after the low-cost Ramadan umrah package deals from Islamic Travel UK. Finally, it is the state of sanctification that pilgrims are in during Umrah or Hajj. Ihram is a little different for men and women. How women wear Ihram: To cover themselves, women need more cloth. While women don't have to wear anything special to be in the state of Ihram. Women can wear any kind of clothing that covers their bodies but leaves their faces and hands uncovered. But some authors say that women can also wear gloves. Men wear ihram, which is two white sheets that are not sewn together. One piece, called izar, is wrapped around his waist to cover his body from just above his navel to his ankles. The other piece, called, is draped over his shoulder to cover his upper body (Rida). To enter the state of Ihram, a person needs to be well-prepared, because it is the beginning of a holy journey. The first thing pilgrims must do to get into the state of Ihram is to clean themselves. Then, comb your hair, shape your beard, trim your moustache, cut your nails, and get rid of any body hair you don't want. Now, wear your Ihram according to the instructions above, along with flip-flops (Hawaii Chaapal) so that the middle bones of your upper feet don't get covered, and don't use any scents or perfumes, since most of them contain alcohol to make them last longer and look nicer. When you're in the state of Ihram, you can't do certain things, but we'll tell you in detail what you can do. Here are the things that you can do in Ihram. Tahara: Even if you are in Ihram, the first thing you can do is take a shower with the intention of Tahara and cleanliness. You can do it to feel better, but you can't use any kind of scented soap, shampoo, or toothpaste because that's against the rules when you're in the state of Ihram. Pulling Out a Tooth: Islam is a beautiful religion that makes life easier for its followers in small ways, like when they have a toothache. Pilgrims are most likely to lose their focus when they have a toothache, so it is okay to pull a tooth out in Ihram if you are in a lot of pain. Setting Broken Bones: If a pilgrim gets into an accident and breaks a bone as a result, he or she can set the broken bone while in the holy state of Ihram. It makes sense that someone with broken bones can't do the Hajj or Umrah rituals right and with full attention. Rubbing the Head or Body: It is against Ihram to rub the head or body too much, which could cause hair to fall out. If it does, you'll have to give money to the poor. In Ihram, it is okay to rub the head or body very gently without causing any hair to fall out. Items that can be worn: In today's world, it's important to keep a lot of things on you to stay in touch with people or protect your body, so you can wear sandals, a ring, earphones, a watch, a belt, glasses, and a wallet to hold money and papers. If a person doesn't keep these things, it makes things hard. Changing Ihram: "Cleanliness is half faith," says a well-known Hadith. Islam put a lot of emphasis on cleanliness, but if someone wears the same Ihram for all five days of Hajj, it gets dirty or smelly because it is so hot in Saudi Arabia. Sweating makes an Ihram smelly and full of germs. So pilgrims are allowed to change and clean their Ihram clothes, but doing so is not recommended. Things you can't do after putting on Ihram After putting on the Ihram, you can't do the following things:
